Ingredients

– butter, melted – applesauce – eggs – milk – vanilla extract – shredded apples – flour – baking powder – cinnamon – sugar – nutmeg – cloves

Preheat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, applesauce, eggs, milk, vanilla and shredded apple.

In a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Pour about ¼ cup onto the hot pan and let cook for a couple of minutes on each side, flipping half way through.

Serve with butter or maple syrup for the perfect breakfast. We love making bacon, sausage and fruit salad to go with homemade pancakes!
