  • Get your butter and let it sit on the counter for about an hour to soften, if you are making the Swig cookies then do this while you are making the cookie mix. Then grab a medium sized bowl, blend soft butter, sour cream, powdered sugar, salt, 1 drop food coloring and almond extract. Make sure you mix the ingredients well, you want the frosting to be smooth. If it is to thick for your liking add a few drops of milk and mix well to get the thickness you want.
