Peppermint Hot Chocolate Spoons

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Spoons are one of my favorite ways to enjoy hot chocolate. These Christmas hot chocolate spoons make for a rich and decadent hot chocolate that everyone will enjoy. Easy to make, then mix with warmed milk and you have amazing hot chocolate.

Equipment

  • 12 plastic spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk or dark chocolate
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint

Instructions

  • Melt your chocolate using a double boiler. Check out how to melt chocolate with a double boiler if you have never done it before.
  • Dip your plastic spoon into the melted chocolate, be sure to coat the entire top of the spoon with the chocolate.
  • Place the spoons on a sheet pan lined with parchment or wax paper after they are covered in chocolate. Once all the spoons are covered in chocolate, place the pan in the fridge for 5 minutes to let the chocolate set up.
  • Dip the spoons in the chocolate again and sprinkle the peppermint on each spoon and place it back on the sheet pan lined with parchment or wax paper.
  • Place the pan back into the fridge for 5 minutes to let the chocolate set up.
  • Once they are fully hardened, remove the tray from the fridge.
