Ingredients

  • 5 ounce package of Sugar Cookie Mix mixed according to the package.
  • 16 ounces tub icing
  • green food coloring
  • M&Ms or Easter Candy Eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Mix cookie mix according to the package if you are using packaged sugar cookie mix or make the homemade sugar cookie dough.
  • Roll out the dough 1/4 inch thick and then use carrot cookie cutter to cut them out.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes and then allow the cookies to cool completely.
  • While the cookies are cooling get your icing ready. If you are using store bought icing you will need 1 container of icing. If you are using royal icing you will need 1 batch and if you are using homemade buttercream you will need 1 batch.
  • Color the frosting you are using with a few drops of green food coloring.
  • Spread or pipe the frosting on top of the cookies. Use a fork to "pull" the frosting if you want a dimensional look to your cookies.
  • Add the M&Ms on top, you can also use Easter candy eggs if you want to instead of M&Ms.
