Candy Cane Danish

This Candy Cane Danish is made with puff pastry dough shaped like a candy cane and filled with cherry jam (or pie filling) and creamy greek yogurt for the perfect easy danish. This is a fun breakfast the kids will love!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cherry jam or cherry pie filling
  • 2/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 sheets puff pastry dough

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 deg F.
  • Take the puff pastry out of the freezer. Let it sit for 5-6 minutes to soften.
  • Lay parchment paper on your kitchen counter, place 4 puff pastry dough on it.
  • And stick the puff pastry dough by pressing the joints with your fingers.
  • Spread the Greek yogurt in the middle of the dough, then spread the cherry jam.
  • Next cut the edges of the dough one finger apart. and stick the piece of dough you took from the right side to the left, and the piece of dough you took from the left to the right.
  • Braid the dough all the way down until completely covering the filling.
  • Use yours hands to bend the top portion into the shape of a candy cane and then place on a baking sheet while on the silicone mat or parchment paper.
  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
