Ingredients

Topping

  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers crushed
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Stick butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit and spray a 9 x 9 casserole dish with cooking oil.In a large bowl, mix soup, sour cream, 1/2 c Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder until combined.
  • Add shredded chicken to the soup mixture and stir.
  • Spread chicken mixture  evenly in the casserole dish.
  • Crush Ritz crackers into coarse crumbs and add to a medium size bowl.(see note)Melt butter and pour over crackers; add 1/4 cup parmesan cheese and mix well.
  • Sprinkle evenly over chicken mixture.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until internal temperature is 165 degrees.
  • Topping should be golden brown and chicken mixture bubbly.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

I like to crush the Ritz Crackers in their sleeves, making pouring and clean up a breeze.
