This Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich is an awesome alternative when you don’t have time to make a whole pizza pie. Choose your favorite bread, sauce, and pepperoni for a delicious and quick grilled cheese that will hit the spot and quench your pizza craving. Let the kids choose any added toppings to make it their own and they are sure to have a blast making and eating it
Add oil to a small bowl and mix in Italian Seasoning, Salt, Pepper, Paprika, and garlic.
Using a pastry brush, cover 1 side of 2 pieces of bread. Flip over
Add 1/2 tablespoon of sauce per slice of bread.
Layer 6-9 slices of pepperoni onto slices (I like to cover the entire sandwich with the pepperoni slices.)
Add mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni slices.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of sauce on each of the second slice of bread for each sandwich and place the slice of bread sauce side down on top of the cheese on the other slice of bread as the top piece of bread.
Brush the top of the bread with the oil mixture.
Heat non-stick frying pan on medium heat and place the sandwich with pepperoni side down into the pan. Fry for 4-5 minutes until bread is toasted golden brown, then flip over.
Fry for another 3-4 minutes until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted. You may need to adjust the time depending on how much cheese you added.
