Sicilian Chicken with Tomato, Basil & Garlic Skillet Sauce

  • 1 pkg. McCormick Skillet Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 lb. thin-sliced boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 each bell pepper and onion cut into strips
  • 1 box of pasta - we used bowtie but you can use your favorite :)


  • HEAT oil in skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 5 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once. Remove from skillet.
  • STIR vegetables into skillet; cook and stir 5 minutes or until tender.
  • STIR in Sauce. Return chicken to skillet. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes or until heated through. Serve with cooked pasta, if desired.
  • To Prepare in Slow Cooker: Place 1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, 1 bell pepper, cut into strips, and 1 onion, cut into wedges, in 4-quart slow cooker. Pour Sauce over top. Cover. Cook 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH.
