Christmas Tree Crudite Board
If you are looking for a super simple Christmas appetizer that is healthy you are going to love this Christmas Tree Veggie Platter also known as Christmas Tree Crudite Board or Christmas tree veggie tray! It is super easy to make and is perfect for your holiday dinner or party!
- 2 fresh raw pounds broccoli
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1/4 cup pretzel sticks
Cut the broccoli into small florets, making sure not to leave the stem too long or it will have a hard time standing up. Cut the tops and bottoms off your peppers and remove the seeds, thinly slice the peppers.
On your serve platter arrange the broccoli in a long triangle to be the body of the tree. I found it easy to start with my largest florets to build the base then I started tucking the smaller piece to help build the shape.
Arrange the tomatoes all over the top of the broccoli to look like little lights.
Lay out four strips of the yellow pepper on the top of the tree for the star.
Place the strips of yellow pepper on the tree in a zig zag pattern to be the lights.
Lay the red pepper at the bottom to be the tree skirt. Place the pretzels at the bottom of the tree to be the base of the tree.
