St. Patrick's Day Chocolate Covered Strawberries
- 1 pound strawberries roughly 15-20 depending on the size.
- 8 ounces of quality white chocolate
- ½ cup green nonpareils or other St. Patrick's Day sprinkles
Thoroughly wash and dry your strawberries. Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper and set aside.
Using a double boiler melt the chocolate. If you prefer to use the microwave you can by melting the chocolate for 30 seconds at a time and then stirring in between.
Once the white chocolate is melted line up your supplies in order of strawberries, bowl of melted chocolate and then baking sheet.
Hold the strawberry by the green leaf top and dip the strawberry into the melted white chocolate.
Dip each strawberry one at a time in the melted white chocolate and then after dipping carefully place each strawberry on the tray with enough space that they will not touch.
After placing the strawberry on the tray sprinkle the green nonpareils or other St. Patrick's Day sprinkles on top.
Allow 10 minutes or so for the chocolate to harden fully. Enjoy right away or store in an airtight container.
