Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  • Place the eggs into a deep pot and then fill it with cold water. Be sure to cover the eggs, about 4 cups of water.
  • Place the pot on the stove on a medium-high heat until it reaches a full boil.
  • Once the water comes to a full boil turn off the heat and cover the pot with the lid. Let the eggs sit for 12 minutes to finish cooking. I find it best to set a timer so I do not over cook them.
  • After 12 minutes, use a slotted spoon to transfer the eggs into a colander and rinse with cold running water.
  • Place eggs in the fridge for an hour to cool completely or use a large bowl filled with ice and water to make a water bath to cool the eggs before storing them in the fridge.
