Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Zest the lemon. Cut it in half and squeeze the juice of one of the quarters. Set the juice to the side.
Combine the lemon, shallot, oil, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
Place the asparagus on a sheet pan.
Pour the mixture over the asparagus.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and drizzle the lemon juice over the top.
