Ingredients

Instructions

  • Pour the drippings from the roasting pan into a glass cup and allow to sit for 1 minute to cool down a bit.
  • Spoon off 1 tablespoon of the fat that floats to top and place it in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir in flour to form a paste. If you do not have much fat that comes to the top you can use butter in place of the turkey fat.
  • Continue to stir the paste for 1 minute.
  • Slowly stir in apple cider and mix well with the paste.
  • Spoon off and discard any remaining fat from the top of the turkey juices in the glass. Then stir the turkey juices into the pan with the apple cider and mix well.
  • Continue cooking and stir frequently until the gravy thickens, which should take about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Taste and season salt and pepper until you get your desired flavoring.
