1/2cupsalted butter
2CupsApple Cider
1large applechopped
12ouncesmaple breakfast sausage linkscooked and sliced
2stalksCelery
1large Onion
1/2tablespoonsPoultry Seasoning
Instructions
Cook the sausage links, you can heat them in the microwave or cook them according to the package on the stove. Once cooked chop into pieces and set aside.
Wash and chop the apple and set it aside.
Wash and chop the celery and set aside.
Chop the onion and set aside.
Over medium heat in a stockpot, melt the butter.
Once the butter is melted, turn the burner heat to low and add the dry stuffing mix and apple cider. Mix until the stuffing has absorbed the liquid and all of it is well moistened.
Add the chopped apple, chopped celery, chopped onion, cooked sausage, and poultry seasoning and mix well.
Spray a baking dish or casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour the stuffing mixture into the baking dish.
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes. If you are going to stuff a turkey then you can skip the baking step.
