Equipment

  • double zero size round piping tip
  • Freezer bags

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 15-20 of fresh, ripe but not too ripe strawberries
  • 8 ounces of quality milk dipping chocolate
  • 3 ounces of quality white dipping chocolate

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash and dry your strawberries and place them on a plate.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Using a double boiler melt the chocolate. If you prefer to use the microwave you can by melting the chocolate for 30 seconds at a time and then stirring in between.
  • Once the white chocolate is melted line up your supplies in order of strawberries, bowl of melted chocolate and then baking sheet.
  • Grab the strawberry by the green leaf dip and dip the strawberry into the melted white chocolate. Holding the top/ greens will keep your fingers out of the chocolate and give a clean finish
  • After dipping carefully place each strawberry on the tray with enough space that they will not touch.
  • Let the chocolate set up while you move on to melting the white chocolate. Melt the white chocolate and pour into a small freezer bag. Cut the tip off of the freezer bag and place in the piping tip. Pour your white chocolate into the bag.
  • Pipe two lines one on the top and one on the bottom on each strawberry.
  • Adding a line down the middle of the strawberry and add four line across that line.
  • Let set up full then cover or transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. Best when enjoyed the same day.
