Preheat your oven to 375℉ and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Cut out 12 to 16 mummies on the pie crusts, 12 if using strips of crust for the top of the mummy, 16 if topping with another mummy cutout.
Place the mummies on the parchment-lined baking sheet and top with about 1-3 teaspoons of jam, be sure not to overflow the dough by putting to much on top.
Top the mummy with another mummy cut out, and then use a knife to make 3-4 small slits on the top, and use a fork to press together the outside edges of the mummy. Or cut strips using the excess pie crust and cross the small strips on top of the jam-covered cut-outs to make it look like a mummy.
Put the butter in a microwave safe bowl and melt the butter.
Using a pastry brush, brush the mummies with the melted butter and sprinkle the sugar on top.
Bake for about 13-15 minutes, or until slightly golden on the top.
Allow to cool and add the icing and beads if desired before enjoying!
