  • Start cooking your rice, you can cook it on the stove or in a rice cooker.
  • In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, oil, pepper flakes, sesame seeds, and ginger and mix well.
  • In a pan over medium heat add the ground beef and garlic and cook until the ground beef is cooked all the way. Make sure you are chopping up the ground beef while it cooks, I find it best to use this meat smasher. It makes life so easy.
  • Once you have browned the beef add the sauce to the pan and mix to coat all of the ground beef in the sauce.
  • Continue to cook for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the green onions.
  • Put rice in a bowl and then top the rice with the beef mixture.
