Chocolate Chip Cupcakes are a favorite of mine. I love how the chocolate chips melt in your mouth and the sweetness that they provide. All you need is one bite to fall in love with them! I also like how easy they are to make, and this recipe is no exception. The ingredients are simple, but the end result speaks for itself!
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and grease your pans.
In a large bowl whisk together all the dry ingredients.
In a small bowl add the chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of the dry ingredients and stir them together. You want to coat the chocolate chips in the flour mixture so they don't sink in the cupcake batter.
In the bowl of your mixer place the wet ingredients. Add about 1/2 of the dry ingredients into the bowl and mix together.
Add the rest of the dry ingredients and blend together on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Fold in the chocolate chips
Fill the cupcake pans 2/3 full with the batter.
Bake at 300 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, turn oven up to 325 for another 15-20 minutes.
Remove from baking pan and set on a cooling rack to cool.
Once completely cooled frost and decorate as desired. I think they are amazing with the chocolate chip cookie dough frosting and then topped with a mini chocolate chip cookie. You can use store bought cookies or homemade chocolate chip cookies.
