Chocolate Chip Cupcakes

Chocolate Chip Cupcakes are a favorite of mine. I love how the chocolate chips melt in your mouth and the sweetness that they provide. All you need is one bite to fall in love with them! I also like how easy they are to make, and this recipe is no exception. The ingredients are simple, but the end result speaks for itself!

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and grease your pans.
  • In a large bowl whisk together all the dry ingredients.
  • In a small bowl add the chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of the dry ingredients and stir them together. You want to coat the chocolate chips in the flour mixture so they don't sink in the cupcake batter.
  • In the bowl of your mixer place the wet ingredients. Add about 1/2 of the dry ingredients into the bowl and mix together.
  • Add the rest of the dry ingredients and blend together on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips
  • Fill the cupcake pans 2/3 full with the batter.
  • Bake at 300 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, turn oven up to 325 for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove from baking pan and set on a cooling rack to cool.
  • Once completely cooled frost and decorate as desired. I think they are amazing with the chocolate chip cookie dough frosting and then topped with a mini chocolate chip cookie. You can use store bought cookies or homemade chocolate chip cookies.
