This Chocolate Caramel Turtle Cupcake Recipe is always a hit when I make it. Made with homemade caramel frosting, homemade caramel sauce and amazing homemade chocolate cupcakes. Put it all together and you have an amazing chocolate caramel cupcake that is sure to wow everyone!

  • Bake your chocolate cupcakes, and let them cool. While they are cooling make your caramel buttercream frosting.
  • Using a paring knife, cut a hole out of the top of the cupcake and remove part of the cupcake cake. Fill the hole with the caramel sauce.
  • Pipe your buttercream on top of your cupcakes. I think they look best using the cupcake swirl.
  • Drizzle the top of each cupcake with the caramel sauce.
  • Save 24 whole pecans for the top of each cupcake. Chop the remainder of pecans and sprinkle them over each cupcake. Place a whole pecan on the top of each cupcake.
