Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries Ingredients:
- 1 pound of fresh, ripe but not too ripe strawberries
- 8 ounces of quality chocolate
- 3 ounces of quality white chocolate
Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries with White Chocolate Lines Directions:
Thoroughly wash and dry your strawberries. To be certain they were dry I used a paper towel on each berry, including the green tops before dipping.
You will want them to room temperature before dipping. Melt your dark chocolate according to the package instructions. Line a large tray with wax paper before starting.
With everything is out you will want to move quickly to ensure you’re able to add the coconut before the chocolate starts to set. (The chocolate will harden faster than you might expect-in only a few minutes). After dipping carefully place each strawberry on the tray with enough space that they will not touch. Let set up full then cover or transfer to an air tight container and store in the refrigerator. Best when enjoyed the same day.
When the first full layer of dark chocolate has fully set melt the 2 ounces of white chocolate.
You’ll want this to be rather hot-being careful not to burn it-for the best lines. Use a small spoon to dip into the pink chocolate and drizzle over the berries (or you may pipe it on).
Let set up full then cover or transfer to an air tight container and store in the refrigerator. Best when enjoyed the same day.
