- Eggs will be very hot so use a potholder when you are removing the eggs from the pressure cooker.

This recipe will work for 1 egg up to a dozen eggs, so you can cook as many eggs up to 12 as you want to at the same time.
How Long to Hard Boil Eggs in an Instant Pot
Hard boiled eggs in the InstantPot have just a 10 minute cook time, and then you will need 5 minutes in cold water for them to cool.
How to Store Hard Boiled Eggs
Allow the eggs to fully cool and then place them peeled or unpeeled in an airtight container and store in the fridge.
Eggs can be stored peeled or unpeeled depending on how you prefer to store them they will last longer if they are unpeeled.
It is important to store the eggs within 2 hours after they are done being cooked and to store them on an inside shelf in the fridge and not on the fridge door.

This recipe is for a 6-quart instant pot. If you have an 8 quart instant pot, you should add an additional minute to the cook time.

How to Make Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs
Pour the water into the instant pot. Place the trivet on top of the water. The water should be right below the trivet.Place eggs on top of the trivet and close the lid to the instant pot.
Check the pressure valve and make sure it is set the pressure valve is set to “sealed”. Cook on manual (pressure cook) for 5 minutes.
Once the timer goes off, let the pressure release naturally (natural pressure release) for 5 minutes and then carefully flip the pressure valve to release the rest of the pressure.Open the lid and remove the eggs.
In a large bowl add water and ice.
Place the eggs in the large bowl with ice and water (Also knowns as an ice bath) to cool them for 5 minutes.
Once the eggs are completely cooled, you can peel the shell or place them in the refrigerator for later use.
