Cranberry Granola Bars
After having the Nothin but foods granola bars I was hooked! The normal granola bars you get at the store just wasn’t going to cut it for me anymore. I liked the thought of having a granola bar that was full of ingredients that are good for you. I thought I would put my cooking skills to the test and try my had at making granola bars myself. I did it!! I made these AMAZING Cranberry Granola Bars that are made with REAL FOOD Ingredients!!!
Cranberry Granola Bars Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashion oats
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup ground flax seeds
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 oz butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 7 oz dried cranberries, chopped
Cranberry Granola Bars Directions
Grease two 9-by-5-Inch Loaf Pans with butter. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the oats, almonds and flax seeds on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. In a medium sauce pan combine the honey, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and salt over medium heat until the brown sugar completely dissolved. Once the oats come out of the oven stir them into the honey mixture along with the cranberries. Divide the mixture into the two pans and press the mixture down. Place them in the oven to bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Cut into 1 to 1 1 /2 inch slices and store in an airtight container for up to a week.
