Baked Spaghetti Recipe
This baked spaghetti is becoming a week night classic around my house. Baked spaghetti is so simple to make, that it is perfect for when you need a quick and tasty dinner. If you know you are going to be short on time at dinner time, you can make baked spaghetti ahead of time and then just pop it in the oven at dinner time to finish cooking.
My kids love pasta and they would eat it every single night if I would let them. Thankfully there are so many different ways to make pasta and change up the flavors. As mush as I love making homemade pasta during the week I don’t normally have time to make it so we stick with boxed pasta and change it up anytime we have pasta for dinner.

Best Sauce for Spaghetti
When making this easy spaghetti recipe you can use your favorite jar of sauce, however anytime I make a pasta dish I mush prefer homemade sauce. Homemade pasta sauce tastes so much better in every pasta dish including in this easy baked spaghetti.
The best way I have found to making my life easier is making batches of my favorite pasta sauces, storing them in the freezer, this way I don’t have to use jarred sauce. It is so easy to double and triple sauces when making them. Then I just let the sauce cool, and pour it into freezer bags. I freeze them and then just pull them out of the freezer and defrost them in the fridge in the morning I am going to need the sauce.
Some of my favorite sauces to use when making pasta dishes, including this easy spaghetti recipe are:
- Sun dried tomato Pasta Sauce
- Homemade Marinara Sauce
- Spicy Bacon Tomato Sauce
- Creamy Tomato Pasta Sauce
- Homemade traditional Spaghetti Sauce
- Cherry Tomato Sauce
Any of these sauce recipes can be made in large batches (each recipe will make enough sauce for 1 meal) and then put in the freezer so you have them on hand when you are going to make baked spaghetti.
What to Serve with Baked Spaghetti
When we have baked spaghetti for dinner I like to pair it with a loaf of fresh bread, I just grab a loaf at the store, a salad and veggies. If I have extra time then I will make a fancy salad like, this Avocado BLT Salad or Strawberry Spinach pecan salad, other wise a bag salad from the store works perfectly. I always have Honey poppy seed dressing in the fridge, so I like to put that on top of any bagged salad we are having.
If I am short on time, then a bag of frozen veggies is my go to, however I also like making things like roasted cauliflower, Lemon Roasted Asparagus, Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Parmesan Asparagus. But feel free to add whatever your favorite vegetable side is when making this awesome baked spaghetti recipe.
If you are trying to have lower carbs, you could totally use zucchini noodles in place of regular pasta.
