When I am making our St. Patrick’s Day dinner of either Crock pot Corned Beef and Cabbage or bangers and mash with our Irish Soda Bread. I always want to also include a dessert. Normally my focus for dessert is on the kids and I make things like Lucky Leprechaun Poop, St.Patrick’s Chocolate Covered Pretzels and Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats however I do want to include something that the adults can enjoy as well. Bring on the Bailey’s Irish cream Frosting! I personally prefer using this buttercream frosting on either my homemade chocolate cupcakes or my homemade vanilla cupcakes.

Bailey’s Irish Cream Buttercream Frosting Ingredients
- 1 Cup Softened butter
- 1 Cup vegetable shortening
- 2 Pounds confectionery sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Bailey’s Irish Cream
How to make Bailey’s Irish Cream Buttercream Frosting
Start off by mixing the soft butter and shortening together till nice and creamy on medium speed.
Turn the mixer down to the lowest setting and slowly incorporate the powdered sugar into the shortening mixture.
Once you have added all the sugar to the mix add in the Baileys Irish Cream.
Turn the mixer up to medium-high speed and continue mixing for 10 minutes until light and fluffy.
