How long will waffles last in the fridge?
If you are making a batch of waffles for the week you might not want to freeze them. That is ok, you can store waffles in the fridge for 2-3 days in an airtight container. To reheat them use your toaster and put the waffles in the toaster on the medium setting for 2-4 minutes.
This waffle recipe freezes great. All you have to do is let the waffles cool, then freeze them in a single layer on a baking sheet. Once the waffles are frozen wrap them in plastic wrap with the serving size you normally cook when you have a waffle. Be sure they are wrapped tight with the plastic wrap, then store them in a freezer bag.
Frozen waffles will last for up to 3 months in the freezer.

It is also important that you preheat your waffle maker before adding in any batter. I find letting it preheat for 5-10 minutes is perfect. So a bit after I am done mixing all of my homemade waffle ingredients together, I plug the waffler maker in so it can preheat while my batter sits.
You might also be wondering if letting the batter sit is a must. My answer is yes. If you are a pinch on time, then you can start pouring the batter on the waffle maker as soon as you are done mixing it. However I find that the sitting time makes for better end results.
