Chocolate Chip Waffles
Homemade waffles are one of my kids favorite breakfasts to make. There are so many varieties of homemade waffles, like these fluffy Chocolate Chip Waffles that waffles for breakfast never gets boring!
My normal go to for waffles for breakfast is Belgian Waffles, with a side of fruit and everyone is happy. When I am wanting to sneak some fruit into the kids, I go for the apple waffles. When it is a birthday, I go for the pecan pie waffles or the funfetti waffles. However, when I want to be the BEST mom ever I get fancy with our homemade waffles and make one of our tasty variations, including these chocolate chip waffles.
The great thing about waffles, is that I can mix up the batter, heat up the waffle maker and they cook with very little work. When I am making chocolate chip waffles for a large crowd (ie when the kids all have friends over) these are perfect. I heat up my oven to 200 degrees, and put a baking sheet in the oven and make them one by one. Then as they are done I put them in the oven to keep warm, and when there is enough for everyone all of the waffles are still warm.
