Comments & Reviews
The Best Apple Pie looks scrumptious. Can this be frozen? If so, would you freeze it before baking or after and what would your directions be? Thank you so much.
I would recommend just making the pie dough ahead of time and freezing that in disks. When you want to make the pie thaw your dough in the fridge over night. The next day you can make the pie as normal. Freezing the pie after its baked will leave you with a bad crust. I have never tried to freeze the pie unbaked. So if you try that and it turns out well let me know.

You can freeze apple pie before baking. Make sure you add extra thickening along with sugar and spices. Due to freezing, there will be more liquid as it bakes. Follow baking directions for the recipe you are using. I have always had good luck with this.
Can Freeze unbaked without vent holes and sugar topping, etc.
i made this pie using a premade crust from the grocery store. I only had Honey Crisp apples. I did everything else like the directions said and it was the best apple pie I’ve ever made. Thanks for the recipe. I’m making it again tomorrow to bring to friends for dinner.
How many can i bake at the same time?
It depends on the size of your oven most ovens would do four.
Hi! This recipe isn’t amazing, thank you! I’ve made it several times but am having an issue with the crust. Would you suggest blind baking?
I have never had that problem you can try to blind bake it let us know if it helps.
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons instant tapioca and spread around the bottom, evenly. It will absorb the excess juice, congealing the excess juices as the pie cooks, making the pie crust nice and flaky,
Would tapioca starch work instead of instant tapioca?
not sure where you are getting the tapioca from but you don’t need it for this recipe.
Do you have a recipe for a crumb topping?
I’m sorry but what crumb topping?
